Safety Director

Responsibilities to include establishing and administering 4G Steel’s Safety and Loss Control Program, conducting monthly safety meetings, conducting regular physical inspections of all work areas, shops and buildings for any unsafe acts or hazards throughout the company, preparing reports that analyze the safety program to identify trends, problem areas and compliance within 4G Steel, establish and maintain a record keeping system for OSHA documents, assist or review all accident investigations, where there is an eminent danger or a serious hazard, the Safety Director shall have the authority to take the necessary action to prevent injury to any employee or to the public, advise disciplinary action when safety rules are broken by employees, work in cooperation with the claims coordinator to develop and monitor claim reporting procedures, work with the owners assisting with Insurance Claims Adjusters, Loss Control and Risk Management representatives in the investigation of claims, analysis of potential hazards and development of methods to reduce losses, obtain and post necessary warning signs and safety posters, establish procedures for handling complaints from employees and the public, ensure the proper job and safety training is provided for all employees (training, job description, PPE), prepare safety letters and safety bulletins on safety problems, and establish and organize a Safety Committee to discuss safety related concerns, recordable injuries, exposure records, the safety and health program, conduct inspections, and implement safety improvements.
